APRA AMCOS have announced that The NZ Music Foundation will be its charity partner for the 2016 APRA Silver Scroll Awards. This year the partnership will highlight the importance of maintaining good health and wellbeing in the songwriter, composer and performer community.
We’ve recently conducted one of the largest wellbeing surveys of its kind with the music community in New Zealand. Preliminary results indicate that people making their way in music experience negative health and wellbeing outcomes at significantly higher levels than the rest of the population.
“Our hope is that we can assist people working in the New Zealand music industry to live longer, healthier, more productive and fulfilling lives in music” says Peter Dickens, General Manager of The NZ Music Foundation. “We are introducing an innovative new service for those in the music community at the 2016 Silver Scroll Awards that we hope will contribute to achieving this goal. We’d like to thank APRA AMCOS NZ for the opportunity to raise awareness at this fantastic event”
“The health and wellbeing of the composer and songwriter community is of vital importance to APRA.” says APRA AMCOS’ Head of NZ Operations, Anthony Healey. “That’s why we’re delighted be able to support The NZ Music Foundation on this special evening and highlight the work they do to our members and the public.”
We’re running a competition for a member of the public to win a double pass to the invite-only 2016 APRA Silver Scroll Award gala dinner and awards ceremony at Vector Arena. To enter, you can visit HTTP://BIT.LY/NZMFSILVERSCROLL2016 for more information.
