MusicHelps NZ Music Community Wellbeing Survey
“This was my first time filling this out, and it was quite intense, but I think it’s important to gather information.”
The MusicHelps NZ Music Community Wellbeing Survey was first conducted in 2016 and resulted from our efforts to bring together leading players in the music community to raise, discuss and ultimately address issues of health and wellbeing in kiwi music people.
Record companies and labels, production companies, artist and performer representative bodies, managers and promoters, educational institutions, health agencies and many leaders and senior players in music have taken part in an ongoing conversation.
While anecdotal evidence of the existence of both the individual damage and wider distress caused by health and wellbeing issues within the music community has been available in abundance, reliable data on both its scale and scope has been lacking. The MusicHelps NZ Music Community Wellbeing Survey aims to address this.
