MusicHelps Wellbeing Service
Are you a music person who’s feeling as though things aren’t right? Worried about someone else? Well done for finding us here. We’ll do everything we can to assist you.
The MusicHelps Wellbeing Service is a 24/7 online, on the phone (tollfree 0508MUSICHELP) and in-person counselling service fully funded by MusicHelps and provided free of charge to those that make live or recorded music possible in Aotearoa.
Composer, songwriter or performer, manager or roadie, production or backroom person, corporate or retail worker: our Wellbeing Service is available to you.*
You can get in touch with us now by calling our support line on 0508MUSICHELP or sending us a message.
When you call us, we can connect you with face to face counselling and advice near you from our specialist team, all of whom have a proven track record in music, helping music people or with others from the creative industries. We can help you access other services that are specific to your needs if necessary. Or we can simply help you talk through some of the issues you’re facing.
Here you’ll find information on some of the warning signs to look for in yourself and others, how to start the conversation with someone you’re worried about, information on mental health, links to online tools you might find useful, tips on how to maintain positive wellbeing and the numbers of other organisations that can help.
Are you, or is someone you care about, in danger right now or may be experiencing a medical emergency? Dial 111 now.
*Evidence of NZ citizenship/residency and work history in the music industry is required.
