Welcome to the application page for the MusicHelps Covid-19 Emergency Grant.
This is a grant of $500 for music workers who are in emergency need as a direct result of loss of music income due to Covid-19 and who meet all of the qualifying criteria. If you answer no to any of the initial questions in the application, please do not proceed.
We encourage applications from the full range of music industry workers. On stage, backstage, front of house, crew, security, merch, supporting roles and anyone who is need as a result of lost income due to Covid-19 from their work in the production or performance of live or recorded music in Aotearoa is invited to apply.
The bank account name where we deposit the grant must be a personal account in the same name as the applicant.
The grant is not available to businesses or organisations.
We have taken the difficult decision that kiwi music workers resident overseas are not eligible to apply for the MusicHelps COVID-19 Emergency Grant. We will review this if demand and the availability of funds allows.
We expect demand for the grant to be extremely high. We ask for your patience as we process the applications. We will be accepting applications for processing in batches of 100. If you are unable to access the application form please check back: we will give updates on our social media accounts and re-open applications as soon as we have processed any backlog. This is the fourth financial assistance response to the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on individual kiwi music workers from MusicHelps and we will be announcing others, including a possible extension to the Emergency Grant. We will be making 200 grants in this fourth tranche of funding
Please note that notwithstanding the guideline criteria, MusicHelps reserves the right to approve or decline the provision of an emergency grant at its sole discretion.
